About the network meeting
The format has been organized by Dienstplanmacher GmbH for many years and is aimed at protection and security specialists from all over Germany. In cooperation with various partners, the meeting offers exciting insights into different security-related areas every year. This year, BGZ was the host and gave participants an exclusive look behind the scenes of its facility.
Since 2019, the federally owned BGZ has been responsible for storing radioactive waste at the sites of decommissioned nuclear power plants until it is transferred to a final repository. In addition to radiation protection and maintenance, Plant Security plays a particularly important role in this process.

Organization and cooperation
The event was jointly organized by Christian Otter and Jonas Wingert (BGZ), Torsten Remmers (Pond Security), Uli Pflanz (network organization) as well as Simon Schneider and the team at Dienstplanmacher GmbH.
Special thanks go to Jonas Wingertwho, together with Christian Otter played a key role in making the network meeting at the Unterweser site possible. Both of them worked hard from an early stage to establish the event as worthy of support and to make it possible on the part of the BGZ.
Thanks to the close cooperation between Dienstplanmacher GmbH, BGZ and Pond Security a varied program was put together, featuring presentations, discussions, a tour of the facility, and a joint dinner at the Butjadinger Tor restaurant.
